AFMG Coaching
FAQ on MCI Coaching Classes
for medical students both in the
Philippines and from other countries.
1.
What is FMG Screening
Test? (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) Is it mandatory for the Foreign
Educated Doctors?
Medical Council of India Screening Test, also known as Foreign
Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), is a licensure examination
conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in India.
Clearing this
Screening Test for FMG is mandatory as per section 13(4A) of the IMC Act, 1956
amended in 2002 for students who hold an under graduate as well as post
graduate medical degree from a foreign university, except from recognized
medical colleges in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and
United States of America.
Now, the MCI has proposed to make this as entrance
examination (All India Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AIPEE)) for getting admission to
PG Courses in Medicine too. It is really a beneficial move for students who
study medicine abroad. By clearing this examination, they get legal status to
practise in India and they can also seek admission based on the marks they
score.
2.
