MCI Screening Test

Why should one start these coaching classes very early while        they study the UG course on Medicine? What are the benefits? By starting these courses very early, the students have a continuous refresh of the concepts of the entire curriculum subjects. Since the subjects are taught repeatedly in the coaching classes, the students have a winning edge than others in learning these concepts. And since the entire syllabus is revised during the second phase of the coaching classes in India, the students get an awareness of the nuances of the PMG Examination and get through the screening test in the first attempt itself.    What is the curriculum pattern of these coaching classes? In the centres at India, the teaching and coaching pattern is designed to have 400 hours of lectures and 200 hours of Testing and Evaluation covering all 19 subjects in a period of Five and a half months. A model test is conducted every fortnight and a comprehensive model examination is conducted once in a month. Each and every student personally gets feedback on their performance in these model examinations. Counseling is offered to improve their preparation for the FMG Examination. By undergoing the coaching both at Davao during their studies and in India after the completion of the course, the students shed the fear of the FMG Examination and walk through the examination at their first attempt itself with great success. 1     Why most of the candidates are not able to get through this examination for years together? What are the reasons? Yes.   The pass percentage in the MCI has declined continuously from 2012-13. While 28.3% students passed in 2012-13, this went down to 16.7% in 2013-14. The pass percentage further reduced to 13.1% in 2014-15, while the pass percentage was just 10.4% in 2015-16 (only one session). In the December session, only 6% passed. Among them, 4.7% of them had repeated attempts while the others, 1.3%,   are fresh candidates who finished the course just before this examination. The reasons for low percentage of pass are many. Staying and studying in an alien country for more than five years, the doctor student gets a kind of fatigue in life. So to have fresh experience, they join in private hospitals as ‘helping doctors’ as they are not supposed to practice.   Since there is no age limit to appear for this screening test, these foreign educat...
